Confess: Have you eaten leftover food that someone left uneaten on another restaurant table?
I have on occasion. Not like a half-eaten burger, but maybe a slice of pizza, some chicken wings, or a strip of bacon. Everybody has. Right???

Several years ago my girlfriend, a buddy of ours and I were eating at an outdoor pub. At the same time.. My buddy and girlfriend got up and grabbed a half eaten plate of nachos from the table next to us... started eating them. I couldn't believe they did that... The funny part is they didn't talk about doing it before. They had the same idea and did it at the same time. The server came over and looked at the table, "Where did those come from?"

That is as greedy as it is gross. Then again, I did eat at a cafeteria during college. The traditional rumor was that they scraped the plates and recycled the food. Monday's steak became weds meatloaf or spaghetti meat sauce/meatballs. I never ate the meatloaf or meatballs.

I had a relative that would go to the movies and retrieve the empty popcorn and drink containers from the trash, take in bathroom and rinse out, and then get them refilled for free (lot of places offer free refills). His family income was 6 figures....

When I was 15, I got a job as a busboy at a local Italian restaurant. The dishwasher was a friend of mine and he'd always be on the lookout for untouched food on the trays that I brought in. He was picky though and wouldn't touch anything that had obviously been chewed on. We made our own bread and served little loaves of it on a bread board. Lots of people never touched them so we'd share a loaf on occasion. If I was eating in a restaurant I'd never touch anything on another table, no matter how destitute (or drunk) I was.

Hell no. Thats nasty.
If you walk in somewhere and your buddy/realative/etc. has half an uneaten pizza an they offer it to you, perhaps I can see it. But just a random stranger....
