I turned 16 in 1991. My first car was a 1985 Renault Encore. I only had it for about three months because I wanted a truck. One of my grandparents neighbors sold me a 1968 GMC truck. Engine was rebuilt and it had a/c. I loved it. Did not care much for the Renault car.

Turned 16 in 1988.. first car was a hand down from my sister Mazda GLC two door, manual steering, stick shift, all plastic seating and floor. Was great though cause you could spill whatever you wanted and it just pooled up and you shopvac'd it out. It was a P.O.S. but it was my P.O.S.

64 Galaxie 500 XL 2 door.
looked like some one drove thru a fence wind shield hood and top along with a couple of fenders where not in good shape, but the ac and interior was great.
people would yield at intersections when I had the yield sign.
it was a rough looking tank of a car that I drove for years
pulled the motor and trans to put in a 65 T bird that I did not have a title to and drove that for a few years before the motor gave up

1989 Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback. It was an auto until I swapped in a T5 within a few months. Spent a lot of time taking it to the drag strip so I got lucky and didn’t end up wrecking
it or killing myself. Still own it to this day.
I actually had a 1966 Mustang Coupe before that. My father bought it when I was 9 as a resto project. We fixed it up and I was going to drive it at 16. Mom found out the fuel tank was basically the rear bumper, drum brakes, lap belts... you get the safety idea. Ended up selling it and the money bought the fox body.

1979 Datsun 310 with a 4 speed tranny and I think a whopping 1.4 liter motor producing 65 HP. it could do 0 to 60 in 13.5 seconds. Paid $900 for it in 1985. No AC, I grew up in Altamonte Springs,Fl. that Christmas my parents gave me Pioneer Super Tuner III cassette deck and I bought a kenwood graphic equalizer and put some infinity 6x9 coax speakers in it. I had almost as much in the stereo as I did in the car . lol. Boy high school priorities seem so awesome looking back . I only used Maxell XLII cassettes or TDKs top end tapes. My brother had a Marantz SD 800 cassette deck and a Techniques SLP2 direct direct drive turntable where we bought records and recorded them to tapes. I can't remember where I put my wallet half the time but I can tell you about our stereo system from 1984. lol

'73 Blazer just like this one - same brown mustard color.
I added dual exhaust, lifted it and aded RVT mudders - and a kick ass stereo. This was in 1980 or so. Had a lot of fun in that truck

In 1998 I bought a 91 Ford Ranger. 2.3l, 5 speed. Ended up swapping in a 302 and T5 from a retired State Patrol Mustang. It had Mustang Cobra wheels with 285/40/17 in back, 275s up front.
I wish I still had it. I could leave black stripes across the whole county with that thing.

White 66 Mustang Fastback 2+2, 289 Auto.
Bought it for $400 in 1974 and sold it 15 years later for $500.
Sold it to buy a boat, 13' Boston Whaler.
Didn't have the $$, knowledge, time, space, correct tools, etc. to restore it.
Photos are off the net but that is what I had.
.

72 cutlass supreme. Red with white vinyl top, rally wheels, 350 4-barrel. Sold it 5 years later with broken ac, bad transmission, holes in the seats and holes in rear quarter panels for $200 more than I paid for it.

1965 Pontiac Bonneville sedan. Paid $85.00 for it in 1975
Roll up windows, vinyl seats, no AC. Enormous trunk I could get my dirt bike in. Pulled my 17 foot Dixie all over with that thing.
Gave to a family friend in 1979
