Default Putting away dirty dishes.
My wife rinses the dishes so well before loading the dishwasher that every now and then I put away dirty dishes thinking the dishwasher was clean. I’m drinking rum right now and the glass smells like ass. It’s definitely the glass. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have the opposite problem; my wife thinks the dishwasher is a magical scrubbing machine meets disposal. She puts stuff in there with food gunk all over it.

And I'm drinking whiskey.

With just the two of us, dishes might sit in the washer for days before being run, therefore, we don't have one....handwash, quick dry and put away....

man I wish! Other day I grab a glass out of dishwasher tastes soapy as fk. Notice the 2 yr old hitting buttons mid cycle again... here we go lol

If you close handle to locked position.....YOU start dishwasher

If you open it....YOU put everything inside away.

Simple

Newfangled machines probably show you on a display.

Funny. Mine has everything clean before HAND washing. We share the task each night.
As far as the drink, last week had super rough day at work and drank the 3rd and 4th beer from my 2020 six pack.

My wife puts my coffee cup in the top rack, if I see it is wet on the bottom, clean. The other cups in the top rack will have water on the bottom also. No water? I wash by hand before using, no wasting coffee or booze. I am bad about rinsing everything well before putting in the dishwasher, I would rather hand wash everything,cause I am crazy.
