Unless you got the land and the time (at least an hour or two a day to run them) a German shorthair is not the dog for you. Great dogs and great companions but they need to work.

Pretty Pup even with the cone of shame on.

Those cones are such a PITA for a dog.

Pretty bird dog. My girl got it back in March. She didn't show much interest in trying to lick or mess with the stiches too hard at all, so we opted for the body suit over the cone. Thought it let her relax a little more comfortably while we were around here to keep an eye on her. Then only had to get the cone when we left her alone in the kennel to run errands. The back end has velcro flaps that you can undo and roll it up for pee breaks without having to take the whole thing off.

Beautiful GSP you have there cbritt! Where did you get her? I'm picking my new GSP puppy up this Friday from On point kennel in New Hampshire. Cant wait to get him on the birds

She came from top gun kennel in Iowa. I hate to keep her down for a couple weeks as the partridge hunting in New Hampshire is great this year. At least the season goes till January.
