Default Savannah for Christmas

My brother and I are taking my 70 year old mother and our families for a long weekend Dec 11th-14th. We have rented a house and are looking for suggestions on "Christmas themed" things to do, places to eat (reasonable) etc. It will be 4 adults and 2 kids, one 6 and one 14. My wife and I have been before but this is a different kind of trip. Looking for low key, southern tradition kinds of things my mom would enjoy. We are staying close to the Habersham School if that helps.
Fire away!
Thanks in advance.

That looks cool but trying to stay more local to Savannah. We are driving 7 hours south from NC and brother is driving 7 hours north from FL. Thanks for the suggestion tho! Thats what I am looking for!

Sunbury crab company is pretty awesome. Might be alittle south for you guys, and cold this time of the year.

This (Crab Company) was my first thought as well. But, you're right, its a bit out of town. I've heard good things about The Wyld and its on my list to try.

I love Vinny Van GoGo for pizza. The staff is a little "different" but the food is great. Savannah Seafood Shack is good. There's so much good stuff downtown you should go explore as much as possible and just stop anywhere that looks good. Every place has to go cups for your beer/cocktail so its fun to wander around with a drink. Not many other places allow it. Fiddlers and Tubbys on Riverstreet are good. There are several rooftop bars along the river. A bit pricey, but good for drinks, views, and snacks.

Check out the new Plant Riverside development on the west end of River St. It's got some new restaurants, also. Like was said earlier, just park and wonder around. History EVERYWHERE.

The week before Christmas in Savannah is a high theft time, so the riff raff can by presents for their kiddies. Seriously.
