I’m rooting for you.
I caught 21 mice and 1 shrew.
2 in attic, 3 in garage and the rest around the house foundation.
it is addictive and almost like fishing, hunting. It’s a battle of witts.
your mistake is not hitting them hard the first time. Plenty traps everywhere. These little bastards learn quick.
wax the inside of the bucket.

They have catch and release options......
👼

They are innocent....and do not realize the harm they do.
Are they getting on your new boat?

No, they seem to stay where the food source is. We have an automatic feeder that only opens when the chickens stand on it. The only food the rats get are from the mess the chickens make. We have bait traps set all around the house, the shed, coop and run. Seems they are getting fewer. I have killed 30 babies from litters in the past month. They give birth in the shed and it's easy to find them. I wish I could keep the snakes around but I've literal seen a snake with a rat wrapped up with another rat attacking the snake until the snake let the rat go.

I hope you are kidding but if not it is a mouse theres no shortage of them and they have no regard for the damage they do so I have no regard for their lives. I won't kill one I see on the sidewalk but around my house game over.

I'm a animal panzie... yes I will not lie.
drowning anything is awful...snap traps if not catch and release....
I've relocated worms and bugs before doing a driveway or whatever....
Flame on...but yup...I'm an animal lover

So is this thing just a drowning device for pest critters? I thought it was more nefarious and electrocuted them.

No flames. It’s noble. I however would kill rats all day everyday. There may be something they contribute to in the world other than decease but I’ve never heard of anything.
