I got one the other day in the mail.Anyway,I started reading and it seems like an informative newspaper.Anybody else read it?

Got a 3 month subscription, (online daily, weekly paper,) and it's ok, so much better then Yahoo news. I also subscribed to The Christian Science Monitor a couple of month ago, trying to find a little less biases news. It's a little left but so much better then most of the alternatives. Very little plain old news available anywhere!

You used to be able to get it on the street in Vancouver when I lived there but I never read it much, not because I'm opposed to it or anything but I just never really did. It's run by members of, or supporters of at least, Falun Gong. I don't know how reliable a news source it is.

They sure hate the Chinese Communist Party though, so at least in that sense I think it's a good counterpoint to a lot of mainstream media which seems pretty willing to suck up to the CCP.

I stopped looking at all printed, online and broadcast news in April and it has been one of the most liberating things I have done in quite some time.

Epoch Times is a far right newspaper - if you believe it is left at all then you need to reevaluate your thinking.

Mainstream news organizations have some issues - particularly in their opinion sections, but the reporting is the best because they actually follow journalistic practices, unlike all y'all's favored right wing organizations that regularly promote falsity and stuff like QAnon

I've been reading it for a couple of years now. Since it is a weekly paper, the stories they write are well researched and they always note they 'tried to contact the left for comment but got no response'. It is a conservative based newspaper, which is one of the best attributes. I attached a few links to the 'legalize dope' thread hoping some of the 'everyone should have the freedom ti ruin their lives' crowd would see the true reality of drug use. I don't think any of them was willing to pay a few dollars to read the truth.

I think it's good to consider the source. It's basically the newspaper of the Chinese version of scientology.

Disagree that they go to great lengths to conceal their origins. It was on their website I learned of their Falun Gong background.
At this time they are more objective than any of our mass media. As to their long term goals???
