Default My Granddaughter Went Fishing

And she got caught. Tough little booger. They'll have to cut this one out I suspect.

Look on line how to remove hook. Wrap leader around the hook a few times and wrap leader around your hand. Take your other hand and hold her hand using your thumb to to gently press down on the hook to open the hole and allow the barb to come out. A quick aggressive jerk (don't barely pull) and she will be fine.

Hooked a friend one day bass fishing and used this method to remove the treble hook from his arm. Really was very easy to do.

This one is deep into the muscle or tendon. There is potential to do damage. This one is for doc to deal with.

I know she is the most important thing ever. No kidding but it's a fairly small hook with small barbs and the method showed above in the vid posted works and is minimal pain. I have used it on myself, my son and dog a couple times. Each time was minimal pain with a small puncture to heal. With all respect to doctors they don't know how to remove hooks and probably will cut it out.

She is a trooper. - Don't blame you on the doc to remove it, even though the removal method in the video works great with little pain.

Well, she got that first one out of the way, and all smiles in the process. The tetanus shot is the worst part .It'll be a memory everyone laughs about

Similar to when I got a treble through the tip of my middle finger, I was younger than her. After the ordeal my dad takes me to the the marina so he can clean up the boat. My finger was wrapped and he said hold that finger up like this 🖕 when anyone asks what happened. I didn't know any better at the time and walked around the entire marina showing everyone my "bandage" Laugh about it now

A local, push it through, snip the barb, and back it out. Been there, and have more than the t-shirt.

Love that she appears, to not only be smiling but, almost seems proud!

Can we show hooks embedded pictures?....

Update on Cass. She is good. They ended up taking her to an ER nurse friend's house. She deadened it up, pushed the hook through, snipped the hook with side-cutters and backed it out. Cass didn't like the needle. She still gets tough girl points.
