That marlin video was crazy! The thing almost swiped the drone out of the air, and they were using like a 20lb blackfin for bait!

pontoons are an awful idea - plenty of failure videos out there on youtube

i would stay away from Swellpro -- if i was worried about crashing and losing it in the ocean - i'd just buy a used phantom 3 for ~$200 (what they used in both videos above)

else something like a Mavic Air 2 is not going to crash in the ocean unless you tell it to

If you're going to carry your bait out with your drone, better have a good release. Just about any salt water fish that would take the bait would drag the drone around like it wasn't there. Bye, bye, drone...

My Mavic Air 2 literally can fly itself from taking off and landing if you want it to.
