Default You just never know

Today started out ok. I was a little grumpy because I didn't sleep well last night. I had my flu and shingles shots which made my arm sore. Every time I rolled over it woke me up. No big deal in the overall scheme of things.

Fast forward a couple of hours, and I'm sitting in the emergency room. Looking at my 15 year old daughter hooked up to all kinds of tubes and monitors. She said that she wasn't feeling well, but it was only later that we found all the empty pill bottles.

Your whole world can change so quickly.

Any prayers would be appreciated. No judgements please.

Well wishes to you and your family, and of course your daughter.

Sadly what you all are going through isn't that uncommon these days. Listen to your healthcare providers carefully when they give discharge instructions.

Good luck to you and your daughter.

At least she is alive in the hospital instead of dead in a 711 bathroom with a fentinal od from drugs she bought on the street.

Don't feel ashamed. It happens a lot more often than people think.

Prayers sent. There are very few things I could imagine that would be worse to experience.

Horrible feeling to read this. Best wishes that your family will pull through this and be stronger on the other side of it.

Prayers. I pray for your daughters physical recovery and long term healing regarding the root cause, whatever it may be.

So true. I hope and pray your daughter fully recovers.

Not trying to "one up" you, but in the theme of the title to your thread "you just never know;" on Thursday morning I was awoken to a
phone call that my sister and her hubby were in a terrible car crash. She is still on a ventilator and we are not sure when she is going to wake up.
So, yes, you just never know...

Prayers for your child from me, brother. I have an 11 year old and pray daily that she stays safe, young girls are so vulnerable.

Sorry to hear about this, prayers to you and yours.

My mother in law did the same thing 8 years ago.
