Default Best plays and musicals you have seen

Thank to my parents who dragged me to my first real play Grease when I was a teen in the 70s. I left and though this was pretty damn good. I have enjoyed many since.

Broadway or off, what are your favorites?

The Pillowman. Off broadway thriller. Had Jeff Goldblum and Billy Crudup.
" It tells the tale of Katurian, a fiction writer living in a police state, who is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of bizarre child murders occurring in his town. "

The plot goes into a wild and depressing story leading back to the abuse of mentally challenged in the mid 1900's and the main characters completely screwed up upbringing.

Been drug to quite a few. While I can appreciate the talent that goes into them...musicals just do nothing for me. Don't hate plays, but generally dislike musicals. Would much rather go to a concert or orchestra than either.

I really loved Les Mis and Rent (though a touch long). Phantom of the Opera did nothing for me, but to be fair, my dinner that night decided to make an early exit, so I was kind of preoccupied making sure I didn't make a scene in the theater.

And more of a "show" than a play or musical, though its very musical in itself, but I love Blue Man Group. Have seen them in Boston, NYC, Vegas, and Atlantic City. So much fun.

I've seen a bunch, but I've got'ta say Cats was my favorite. And then I've seen several dozen small productions inside the heart of Toronto and over in Stratford.

I have never been to a major play in person, other than way back in school.

However, the wife and I watched Hamilton the other night and it was excellent. I will gladly buy tickets in the future.

My favorite. I've seen a bunch. Evita is another one I liked. Saw Hamilton. Was thinking my life was going to change because of it. It didn't. Some good music but overall I was not as enthralled with it as everyone else seemed to be.
