This is so funny! I just put the first season in my Netflix queue about an hour ago. I haven't seen any of it yet.

Been addicted to that show since the first season. Just when you think they can't get any better, BAM! they get you. The plot always twists and turns, you are always guessing, and you are not on the edge of your seat, you are usually floored. Sometimes, it can be really, really disturbing, but that's part of what makes it so great.

I recorded it tonight because I knew my kids wouldn't be asleep in time. In fact, the three year old is still giving my wife hell. I just told her it's her turn, because she's the one who let the little buggers nap 'till 5:00 p.m. You reap what you sow.

Now, don't tell me the ending yet!! I will probably be up until 1:30 a.m. watching, then up 'till 2:30 trying to calm my nerves after watching.

As series go, ‘24’ is boring...says the guy that has watch 4 out of 5 seasons. Season 5 only came out a couple months ago, haven't gotten to it yet. I won't watch ‘24’ when it is broadcast because I can't wait a week to see what happens. On DVD I will watch maybe 4 episodes at a time.

Fwiw, I think "Lost' is a much, much better series, better character development, etc. I'm told 'Heros' is also good but I have yet to see it. The first season of ‘Prison Break’ was good, too, but I missed the second season (living out of the country).

To understand ’24’ you really do need to see it from the first episode from the first season. Yes, each season is made to stand alone, but you won’t understand Jack unless you know what happened to/with his family, his wife and daughter, and why. Stuff like that… Oh, and why the Chinese wanted Jack, and what happened with the Pres and Jack's deep cover...

I suggest starting with the first season, watch it on DVD.

That's what I had to do two years ago!

They covered some of the relevent previous info last night. Wayne Palmer 's(President) brother was the President in the first 3 seasons and was killed off in the beginning of last season. The other regulars are Bill (CTU director), Curtis (Black guy with Bill in the beginning), Cloie (sp) (computer person) and Bill's wife (can't remember her name, who is in the White House now, she used to be a temporary director at CTU).

That’s the way to do it…watch a whole season at a time. I can’t stand the way they ALWAYS end each episode leaving you hanging. I’ll see season 6 when it becomes available on DVD.

Count me in with the crowd that hasn't yet seen this show (despite everyone always talking about it). I normally don't watch much television and, since I got my plasma and HD cable last year, don't seem to stray from Discovery HD. I may have to try to catch up, though. I know the premise is that the show covers a 24 hour period but does each episode cover 24 hours, each season is 24 hours, or the entire series is the events over a 24 hr period? I've wondered how they could stretch things out so much but guess that's what makes the show so good.

This is simply the best show on TV bar none. As far as what else you need to know? Jack must have the world's greatest cell phone battery; he is always on it and it never runs out. Too bad the Apple prodcuts dont incorporate this technology (sorry Glen E )

... except the Sopranos. There has never been any other series remotely close to the quality of HBO's the Sopranos. For broadcast TV, 24 is up there but I don't think it is as good as 'Lost'. Similar to 24, Lost ends with those friggin' cliff hangers, too.

Other than those (and PBS's Nova and Frontline) there really isn't much on broadcast TV that is worth the time to watch it.
