Looks like the end of the only method of controlling bears in the state.
Keep it topside guys so all can see.

Wonder when a bear attacks someone's child who he'll blame.

They are so prevalent in northern NJ it's getting scary.
My 10 y/o grandson came out his garage door and not more then 10 feet away was a big black bear. Lucky for him no cubs around so he slowly backed up into the garage again.
Because bears are always roaming in the area he has been coached to never run but back away slowly.
Kid kept his cool and proud of him.

What the hell is he going to do? Spay or neuter grown bears? There is a definite need same as there is for big game hunts. They are very effective in managing the population. He's caving to the snowflakes who think shooting a bear is horrid without having any idea of the good it does.

Had one run through my field a few years back. Police chased it into the woods.
Best part about the ending the bear hunt, the gov has absolutely no alternative plan to manage the population. We get an occasional bear but good luck north jersey. You need it.

He should spend a few nights in the woods way west of I-287, like i did... with some Yuenglings and Eagles fans. He would change his mind. Beautiful country up there.

Northwest is out of control. Look we took their habitat away as a species. Two options let them overrun us or cull. People I know won’t let’s their kids in the yard because of this.

In the west hunting cougar with dogs was banned and now they are an underreported problem.
Their population is up , close calls are common and attacks, some fatal, are way up.
