Reminds me of when I was crossing a creek with a couple friends on a deadfall. When I got half way across, the limb I was standing on broke, presumably because of the yellowjacket nest inside it.
I did find out how quick I could fall in a creek, exit it, and run like hell. I only got hit by a half dozen or so, and my friends were similarly "lucky". The three of us were singing the blues that afternoon.

Check with your vet of course, but the next time that happens you might want to to give him or her some benadryl, I think it is like a milligram per 10 ponds of weight. I have to do that with our dachshund, she pops up big lumps and her throat constricts after one bee sting.

Poor pup.
Has he learned his lesson?
