Default Lighting hit boat

Looking at a boat hit by lighting Yamaha trim works but will not do anything through key switch was told it’s a control module ? Need advise please

Replace all wiring and all electronic devices.

Unless it's an absolute steal, walk away...not worth the hassle.

Assume everything electronic is completely shot and needs replacement along with a rewire. If it’s cheap enough to do that then great.

You may or may not chase electrical gremlins in that motor for a while.

Replace all metal thru-hulls. Lightning strike travels bonding wires and weakens them.
Others are correct, wiring, electronics, modules, etc.

Check the main fuses and link.....value if perfect condition minus 50% or walk away.

What kind of lighting? LED?...bow light, stern light, deck light? Why is that a problem?
