The freezer method work ok? I might have to try that.

There are good pizza places in Florida, you just have to find them. There's a small place near me, Camilli's, that makes great pizza. Anthony's Coal Fired is a small chain that makes good pizza. Started in Ft Lauderdale and I think he has 50 or so places now.

As far as Papa Murphy's goes, I've never heard of them but my first thought, based on the name alone is why would you buy pizza from an Irish guy? ;q:grin:

crazybeard 09-08-2020 12:58 PM

Same reason people buy hamburgers from an English person?

I've been a fan of Mellow Mushroom Pizza since it was 3 stoned guys making pizza in Buckhead but there is absolutely no consistency from store to store anymore.

Yes it did! The manager gave us that idea. She would wrap it normal then turn it 90 degrees and wrap it once more. Dang, we miss them! We would set it out to thaw before normal oven temps/time.

My dad used to take me there when I was a kid in the mid 70's
I remember the guys in the kitchen twirling pizza dough around barefooted.

Most pizza in Florida sucks because of the quality of the water used in the dough. They use city water which has fluoride and other chemicals added into it. Find a mom and pop shop that does not use city water and you will usually find a good pie.

No offense to those who like it, but I thought it was terrible. I like the local mom and pop places, sadly, we are loosing them.

The local mom and pop pizza joints around here are thriving. I hardly ever see a chain store car delivering pizza in out neighborhood. Only the two local places. Their drivers say they can't keep up with the calls.

I pass the Eustis one on occasion. I believe it is still open. Isnt there one in the Sanford Lakemary area as well?

You bet. I just got my wife to text me the recipe below. I grill these in an ooni pizza oven but I'm sure it's awesome however you cook it. The crab I boil with zatarans when i get home and put the meat in the fridge for the following day. The shrimp we grill or broil before they go on the pizza.

Recipe
Precook onions- sautť until caramelized, and roast garlic pods - slice off top of pod, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap in foil. Roast at 400 for 40ish mind.

Spread olive oil over crust, sprinkle with garlic powder. Top with shedded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and Romano cheese, caramelized onions, garlic cloves, grilled shrimp, crab meat, and sprinkle with crushed red pepper

So is it frozen pizza you have to cook, or is it unfrozen pizza you have to cook? $18 for a large, I would hope I didnít have to go home and cook it.

Unfrozen. Bring it home and toss in oven. I've never paid $18 for a large but markets are different.

We had one in Tampa for a while. I really enjoyed it!
