There was one here that we used and liked. It did not survive as there are good local pizzarias within a 5 minute drive.

I am not a pizza fan .... but .... take a Paul Newman Supreme, very thin crust, frozen pizza and add venison brat sausage chunks .... I like that combo.

Man I miss papa murphy's. For some reason they aren't in the baton rouge area anymore. We would get their large cheese pizza with extra cheese and cover it completely in home grown tomato slices. Oh man it was so good

right? There must be a big variance in quality across the chain. The stuff I used to enjoy was way better than frozen.

Lots of opinions on the "quality" of the product, but it comes down to the fact the franchise doesn't advertise in FL like they do in primary markets. Nobody buys most fast or fast casual food for quality, but for convenience and brand recognition.

Pizza is cooked at high temperatures.
Home oven at 500F isnt hot enough.

That's that's why they make pizza ovens.
We tried Papa Murphy's once just to see what it was
It was exactly what we thought it would be
Once.

Almost all these "pizzas" are really flatbreads not pizza just pointing that out. Pizza is cheese and sauce.

My wife likes it. I figure if I have to cook it I may as well get frozen. Unless it's really good 'za at a sit down restaurant with friends and a pretty waitress, pizza (imo) is for when there isn't time nor any other quick and easy options besides McD's..

Oh - the weather only sucks 5 months out of the year, two of which I'm in the Keys.

Papa Murphys was a booming franchise 20 years ago. Now that every grocery chain in the country has take and bake pizza's for a fraction of the cost I'm surprised the franchise is still exist.

Sorry not papa murphys related. But we make a killer seafood pizza. On good weather Fridays the kids run around the islands with dip nets and we usually go back with a few dozen blue crabs. Saturday night we cook seafood pizzas in a wood fire oven and load them up!

We used to have one. Really liked it. It's gone. We used to have them double wrap them once in awhile, take it home and put it in the freezer for much later.
