I think everyone is so numb from 5 months of Covid BS there is just a "whatever" attitude about the approaching storm. And as much as I know better I find my own stance a little lacking as well. A little shift to the west could put us in the hurt locker.

Cut my vacation short in NC, flying into IAH today and headed to Freeport to move the boat to Matagorda just in case.

I am very concerned that people won't evacuate in part due to COVID concerns. I would not be at all surprised if this thing strengthened beyond the present forecast. EVACUATE low lying areas please.

I would think you are fine in Matty....I pulled the boat out of the slings, but left it on the trailer in Sargent. I think I should be ok, maybe even better off than pulling it back to the HTX like I usually do.

Look for power to take longer to restore since the covid has the workers socially distancing. Now's a great time to get a generator if you believe in those type things.

Never ask a man if he’s from Texas. If he’s not you’ll just embarrass the poor bastard and if he is he will tell you pretty soon anyway.
