How many times do we see this in a given year and there's always strict warnings not to do it.

I often find myself rooting for the animals in these cases. Good for the bison.

You cannot go up to these animals. HUGE, FAST..horse fast, and can be dangerous if approached.

Now they'll probably put this one down. They should put the woman down for being stupid. May have started to get close to a calf.

Afishinado will probably chime in on this being he live very near the Black Hills where the bison population is somewhat healthy.

why do they let wild animals run free in national parks?

there should either be some training for the dangerous ones or they should be banned!

Would make far more sense to simply ban humans...

Yeah, I've seen this video. No excuse, dumb enough to go near a calf with a 2,000lb momma nearby, you're just asking for it... Sometimes you need to wait for bison to make their way across the road, I've waited 45 minutes before (hot in the sun sitting on a half ton of air cooled scooter). Waited even longer out in Yellowstone... Custer is a incredible state park, the 18 mile wildlife loop within the park probably has a hundred signs telling you to not pet the fluffy cows... I'm so happy to live out here the bulk of the year..

This video was taken in Yellowstone not Custer, but we got the same 2000 lb bulls here.. Can't imagine what that animal could do to someone it's pissed at.

we were at Custer last year and were lucky enough to see the herd crossing the road. yeah we sat and waited. it was amazing. had a large bull walk right next to my truck.
had a biker in front of us (not during Sturgis) and I really felt a little nervous for him.

that was close enough for me.

can't imagine someone stupid enough to think they can approach a calf. all animals will defend their young.
