The ammo shortage has been happening for months and it's not going to get any better any time soon. Even some of my smaller manufacturer sources are wiped out. Primers are the real issue as the demand has dried them up. That said, many have taken the last 3 or 4 years to stock up while the prices were at all time lows and are sitting well as this was anticipated coming into the election. Covid and Civil Unrest just accelerated the unavoidable ammo panic driven by a record number of new gun owners.

I've had good luck finding everything I need at the "local" shops. Large big box outfits are all sold out of the good stuff.

Last I looked .40 hollow point was readily available, maybe a little more expensive than usual. FMJ for the range was nowhere.

Saw some .22, 9mm and .45 ammo at Sportsman's Warehouse at lunch today. No hollow points, but stock seems to be creeping back.

I saw 1000 round boxes of 9mm on one site. They had 51 boxes in stock. Sold out in 3 hours

Locally its anywhere from $20-$28 for a box of 50 in 9mm FMJ. Unless you know someone or go every morning to the big mega stores like Bass Pro or check online constantly, good luck
