Walk in and sing:

Well, I'm hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
I'm hot blooded, I'm hot blooded

Things changed with the Patriot Act in 2001, this is minor compared to that.

If only they could trace back the virus and pinpoint who gave it to you. Then when granny dies you could identify who killed her by not following the virus safe rules and sue the heck out of them. Maybe even a homicide charge. Then you might see peoples attitudes change about trying to keep others safe from their own actions. In fact, why not put some of these things in busy foot traffic areas with a testing station . Then test the hot ones. You won't beat the virus by being a pussy with it. The harder you go after this bug, the faster you get your life back to normal.

You do realize private businesses have been taking pictures of you for years and possibly there is a business around that may even be running facial recognition on you and others, like Disney or other business that are vulnerable to terrorist activity.......

And you are worried about your temperature and calling it a medical procedure ??? LOLOL

A friend of mine was involved in a project where McDonalds was looking at FR in their stores and at kiosks.
We are under surveillance everywhere we go.

Mandatory mask laws have made FR in casinos nearly impossible. If you are a card counter or on a blacklist, perhaps it is time to visit Vegas and try your skills. Latest word is that some casinos will actually give guests $20 if they will wear a mask. The world is upside down.

A cop lit me up the other day with his radar gun.
I feel super violated by his performing that medical procedure on me.
Like a cavity search, but worse.

Anything that isn't specifically illegal is legal. They are not doing anything to you that significantly alters anything about your being, nor are they even touching you. If they aren't storing that temperature data along with your name, I don't see how they'd run afoul of any PHI protection laws either. So while not a lawyer, I don't see what grounds you'd have.

That said, their motivation and logic scares the crap out of me. The scariest word in the English language for me is "safe". It gets used as an excuse for restricting people's liberties way too often. And no one seems to notice that there's scary things out there, so we happily restrict liberties to make everyone "safe". Then those restrictions no longer grant us safety, but still stay. Then things get scary again, so we happily give away even more liberties to again make u temporarily "safe".
The article mentioned:
"Fasano said the camera costs $45,000 and is worth every penny to help keep everyone safe."
This type of thinking scares the crap out of me.

agree. Taxpayer money makes the rationale very easy. 45k is monopoly money to the person that said it is worth it.
