I do not believe its some sorta fake mailing for feedback scam. Also funny no one can identify the seeds or at least is willing to say what they are.

About a month ago I received Ray Ban sun glasses with a case in the mail. The package was from China. No sales pitch, no contact information, nothing. Just a pair of obviously cheap knock offs for no reason. That seemed strange as well.

Its all over the local news so its a real thing. Not sure how many people have received them but it would be interesting to see what they grow into and why they are being sent.

We got the sunglasses a few months ago as well. Got the seeds a couple weeks ago and they look like a sunflower of some sorts so far as they grow. The heats hard on them though.

Purchased a portable solar charger for charging phones . This saw gadget was stuffed inside the original packaging.

So planting them seemed like a good idea?

I hope you are kidding about planting them and letting them grow...
If they are malicious, they are likely a species that drops seeds in the air and will be very difficult to control all the offspring as they will likely be a good distance away.
Please destroy the plants/flowers before that can happen - we already have enough Chinese crap over here.

From what I've read, the packages are marked in english as having jewelry inside, so clearly being deceptive.

If it's being done for nefarious reasons, it would actually be a smart way to cause some social stressors. Water plants clogging intakes and messing with marine life and boat access, herbicide-resistant plants disrupting crop and forestry production, etc.

There were rumors they were sending Japanese Kudzu. It's a crazy invasive vine that makes bamboo look like crabgrass. However, from what I'm seeing, it's lots of different types of seeds. I guarantee you at least one person who has received them planted them out of curiosity.
