Sunday morning 8 am, loud rattle noise, I looked out, pickum up truck at slow speed pulling a 14 ft metal jon boat (without trailer) down the paved road. Hopefully this is not a sign my neighborhood is going down????

It's okay, doesn't scratch if dragged slowly.

If you tow your boat dragging on the street because you can't afford a trailer, you might just a redneck. Apologies to Jeff Foxworthy.

If there's no couches or old refrgerators on the front porch..... You're probably safe for now
Had an old couch and refrigerator on the front porch at my hunting camp and I loved it. Great place to sit out and shoot the shit. Especially in dirty muddy clothes. Damn bees like to get in that couch though.

Don’t John boats generally go in the truck bed, no trailer?

must have been one of those short bed trucks, so not enough room even with most of it hanging off.
should have stopped them and told them to put some boards under it so it would not make so much noise
