No worries TB - wife is cooking up a huge pot of seafood gumbo; family is coming over here to eat gumbo, drink too much, and flatten the neighborhood with an illegal amount of illegal fireworks. No driving.

TB,

There's a misprint in your menu: it should read "BottleS", not "Bottle"

Best advice a person can give

Cecile and I are staying home

She made me one of my favorite meals . . . coq au vin (chicken cooked in wine)

The parties at home are . . .

I do my drinking at home

Beisdes, if the wife gets enough Kahlua & Vodka in her, I might ring in the New Year 'in the saddle'

We haven't gone out on New Year's Eve in 15 years.......my daughter is due home shortly. We like to enjoy a quiet peaceful evening to reflect on the closing year and think about what we are going to do next year. Be safe is our motto......... Some of the games and things we do here include........

Let's see, from that pic, I can tell you're gonna do 10 things tonight:

1. Start drinking,
2. Break out the 26yo Lindsay Scott video,
3. Drink some more,
4. Fire off some mortars,
5. Drink some more,
6. Light up the sky with that Mississippi Gambler,
7. Drink some more,
8. Fire off the .357,
9. Drink some more,
9. Wonder where those shells landed...

Mushroom cloud??? Yes there was one at my house. I always end the fireworks display with a BOOOOM. After I set my finale off, there was a silence throughout the town. All I did was take a piece of heavy metal drain pipe (approx. 1.5" ID), pack it full of crumbled newspapers to make a plug, set the cannon fuse down the bore, loaded it with about 4-6 ounces of Pyrodex, then packed more newspapers on top of the powder with a mop handle. I took this cannon down near the railroad tracks and set it behind a 12" tree (just in case of schrapnel) and lit the two foot long fuse. From 100 yards away I still felt the percussion in my chest...it was awesome and something that I don't do very often...it's too dangerous and in some people's eyes....illegal. Oh well, I'm a redneck, I live in the country, and am living proof that they shouldn't teach Chemistry in high school.

Too funny, Ryan~!!

T.B. ~ we're all here and accounted for.

No drinkin' here, either.....well, any that amounted to anything anyway. Ha! Had to take the 14 yo to a party at the church at 8pm. - met about 6 cars on the road in a 5 mile stretch. Went back at 1am. to pick him up - met up with about 12 cars on same stretch. I think everyone around here stayed home, too!!

Daddy'O, Wyatt and I sat around at the house and ate homemade pizza and watched "Strange Brew" ~

Enjoy 2007, ya'll!!!
