Default We are gonna need some parts (spindle broke off)

Brother was chopping down spent corn, and this happened. Tractor is 21 years old. First hard part failure to date. stacked the full set of suitcase weights on the back of the bush hog to get the front tire in the air, and steered it with the brakes onto the trailer. A low profile trailer comes in handy sometimes.

someone been popping wheelies?

rice farmer I worked for during the summers in HS back in the 60s always said do not hit a levy straight on with both wheels at the same time. hit at an angle and roll over at low speed or you will break the front end,
.
he jumped on a JDeer and headed across a field we were cutting when a grain truck broke a small bridge and got stuck.
he hit one head on at a good speed and broke both front spindles out in the middle of a rice field

jacked it up this morning and pulled the axles from both sides to take to work. New hubs/spindles/tie rod ends going on both sides. 3 piece adjustable axles, so very easy to take down. Taking them to work where we have a variety of heavy tooling to work with. Spindle assembly goes up through the tube in the axle ends, and the steer arms attach to the top. Not even moving it anywhere on the trailer, just makes for a nice clean work platform and gets it up about 18” to be more comfortable to work on.

also driving with brakes is very easy. Just stick it in first gear with the brakes unlocked, and you can control each side independently of the other.

This is a boating forum. Some 5200 and it's as good as new. If you are not comfortable with 5200 then use JB weld. Be sure to use a few wraps of duct tape afterwards for reinforcement.

Agree with brake steering on a tractor. That is why there are two pedals.

With you there. Grew up on old Oliver's and Fords. This one is the "new tractor." Seems like yesterday when I drove it home from the dealer.
