Its been making the rounds on facebook. I "believe" it was a Century and happened out of Ponce Inlet Florida. I am probably wrong.

Turn engines OFF, jump in, jam thumb into drain hole until bilge pump catches up and lets you install the spare plug. You DO carry a spare, right?

Rumor around the interwebs is it was a repower. Shop never checked the integrity of the transom bracket. Apparently it was weak and/or cracked. Added weight and higher HP of new motors caused it to fail.

I don't think that helps the engine when your transom bracket falls off.☺️

I'm pretty sure those are the new submersible engines I've been hearing about............and the new flexi-mount transom with infinite trimming. Technology is moving forward so fast nowadays.

That really sucks for them. Doesn't look like a bracket. I see ripped fiberglass.
