Default Unexpected trip to NJ in 8 days!

Driving to NJ soon and can't find any definitive info on my concern. God Daughters 1st birthday, bride not missing......period!

We booked the hotel for 2 nights. Desk clerk said we are "required to quarantine" for 14 days. Since room is booked for only 2 nights they obviously know that's not going to happen. Rep said that they don't monitor movement, just mandatory masks, which we are forced to do here anyway, so no big deal.

My ?:

Any chance in hell the hotel is obligated to turn my info over to the state of NJ because we have a FL DL, and credit card?

Is there a snowballs chance in hell that we could actually be stuck up there, or fined heavily if we leave before the 14 days.

Any advice appreciated!

According to the NJ website it is not mandatory:

I would imagine a 14 day quarantine BEFORE going there is what they meant.

They will boot your car

Buddy of mine has a son who will be starting at the Culinary Institute in NY. They live in Florida and are trying to figure out how to quarantine in PA or Ohio for 14 days before checking in at the school

While true, they could always send the fine USPS.

Not to my understanding, the 14 days starts when you arrive at your destination.

Your biggest issue is going to be out of state plates. Just minimize your exposure and you’ll be fine.

I guess FL and NC should have fined all the NY and NJ people that came down when their states were on fire. Or just set up checkpoints at every 95 off ramp abs refused to let NY/NJ plates exit....maybe we should do that now 😁

Actually no, it does not make a difference. However, there are many of us here who may have helpful knowledge should you need it if you were travelling in their area, ie: shore areas have restrictions as well as restaurants........I'm sure it was just a helpful inquire.....

No, not up to hotel. Car license plates may get you pulled over. It means to abide by it you can't leave your hotel room while you are there. It is fine being there 2 days, you just in theory can't leave the room until your stay is up. My guess, abide by mask rules, don't cause any scenes, and you will be fine.

Plenty of FL plates up here now. You'll blend in.
PA is not car from Lebanon. Don't know their restrictions. Could always stay there.

By your reaction, obviously my responce came across as arrogant. Did not mean that at all. Only meant to ask if each area within NJ was somehow different as in more strict or not. My bad!

How could there be trout in a super dump infested state? . Just a joke! I know how incredibly beautiful many areas of the garden State are. Taking back soil to grow the best tomatoes in the world this fall.

https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/...s-removed.html

Florida was added to the NJ quarantine list within these past few day.
They could stop you with FL plates and ask to see a corona virus test result showing negative before you entered the state
The supposition is you quarantined for 2 weeks then took your test and showed negative before entry into NJ.
RT-78 cuts right through Lebanon and is a well know NJ state trooper patrolled highway. I'd stick with RT-22 where there is less chance of running into troopers.
State police are under control of Murphy, our dictator governor, and more inclined to toe the line on his gestapo mandates, The locals LEO could give a shit less.
Have a safe trip.

No. Nothing but sand and the Tomatoes don't taste good grown in Florida sand.

We grow ours in buckets, with store bought dirt.
