Wow. There has got to be more to this story. Sheriff Grady Judd sure has had more than his share of violent crime in Polk County.

My first guess would be they encountered drug runners, m13, and were killed.

Some of us remember back in October of 2006 a Jamacian drug dealer shot and killed a Polk County Sheriff Deputy and his dog during a traffic stop in a remote part of Polk County. At a press conference that evening Sheriff Grady Judd said:"When we catch this animal we will be prepared for a gunfight if he wants a gunfight."

The next day, a SWAT team found the cop killer deep in the woods, with nine of 10 officers firing 110 times and riddling suspect Angilo Freeland with 68 bullets.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd certainly doesn't think the officers used excessive force when they shot Freeland 68 times. Judd said the suspect "executed" one of his deputies, not to mention the police dog.

When the Jamacian's mother's attorney asked Sheriff Judd why his deputies shot her son so many times, Judd replied: "That's all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more."

But my guess is that is not all they were doing

Simple search of Polk Co Sheriff’s homepage shows Rollins and Springfield are career criminals and both have double digit arrests over the past 7-8 yrs ranging from domestic violence, theft of property, grand theft (x4), burglary w/ assault (x2), drug possession (meth) x 4, Possession w/ intent (meth), battery, discharging weapon into vehicle (x2), etc etc etc.

This is someone getting payback or sending a message.

The place was "as far out in the woods as you can get" according to the sheriff. They were beaten first and then shot. They were attacked as they arrived at the scene within minutes of each other. Nothing random about this at all. Most likely public service murders.

Precisely why context is so important. You'd think these were just 3 nice kids, "best friends their whole lives", out for a little innocent fishing trip. Is that possible? Yes, but doesn't seem likely. Truth......it matters.

Why is that? Was a lead pipe used to beat the guys around a campfire before they were shot to death?
