Default Suspicious Vehicle - What would you do?

So yesterday, as I'm pulling up to my house after work, I see a newer Platinum Edition F-250 or 350 out in front of my house. The house across the street is for sale and they've had a lot of traffic, so I assumed that's all it was. But, as I pulled up to my house I could see two guys very intently staring at my house. Again, I didn't think anything about it - but I back into my driveway and they were right where I usually back up. I waited for a second and seeing them not in any hurry, backed around them and into my driveway. As I'm backing in, I look and these two guys are still staring at my house - like they were comatose or something. I got out and started walking toward their truck and the driver - clean cut looking guy in his 40's - he smiles and waves as he idles off. I walked to get the mail and watched the truck as it pulled away, off my street.

I go inside and my sister is at my house talking to my fiancee. They're both talking about work stuff, so I take my dog out back and pick up some stuff around the house - maybe 30 mins later my sister grabs her bag and leaves. I start telling my fiancee about that truck and look down and see a text. Open it and it's a pic of that truck that my sister just sent. I called her and asked what that was about and she said when she went outside, the truck was back in front of my house - same two guys just staring at my house. She got in her car and said she had to wait for them to move, as they were blocking my driveway. Eventually they pulled off and she said they waved at her too, before finally speeding up and turning.

I sat outside for an hour yesterday after that, hoping they'd show back up. I admit my mind tends to wander and assume the worst, but I still cannot think what those guys were doing. If it was on the up and up, why did they pull off both times? Then again, they were in a $100k truck in broad daylight. I posted the pic she sent to my local Nextdoor page, but the tag isn't visible. I remember some specifics about the vehicle that I posted and asked if anyone knows who that guy was to please let me know - so far no info. But, a day later and I'm still wondering what is going on. Just curious if I should have called the cops? I'm almost hoping I catch them today - as I 100% will get to the bottom of whatever it is they're doing..

Sounds like you drive a Platinum Edition F-250!

As a matter of fact, I do. My gps screen went haywire and is currently being replaced, so I pulled it out until that gets reinstalled (any day now). It's sitting behind my fence, but clearly visible. It's locked up well, but they wouldn't be able to see that with the fence.

I thought that was it - but I live in a waterfront neighborhood and have several neighbors with boats in their driveways, most nicer and with easier access than mine.

I do two miles a day in my neighborhood. Any car I see that looks suspicious, I snap a pic of the car & license plate just in case. They just look at me but never been asked what I'm doing.

It’s not illegal to park on the street and look at the houses. Make sure your home security camera system is up and running and the insurance is paid up on the boat and keep an eye out. No reason to call cops when nothing illegal has happened.

talk to your neighbor selling their house... maybe they can ask their realtor if that was a potential buyer.

They can drive that nice truck due to the profit they make after their thugs break into your house and steal your stuff.......
I would have NO problem blocking them and asking them their business in a non confrontational way. If they are on the up n up they wouldn't mind.
FTR it would not be the first time I've done that.

x2.
The police have bigger things to worry about than a “suspicious vehicle” which just happened to be a 50k truck parked near a house for sale.

You didn’t deploy spike strips, smoke grenades, flash bangs and a LRAD playing Perry Como?

I’m disappointed.....
