If Ford is smart they will follow Jeep's lead and make is super easy to accessorize into Mall crawlers. Angry eyes, led lights, etc.

A Wrangler alternative. Now I want a new Scout.

I honestly expect it will not be the market hit Ford is hoping for - not much different than the Toyota FJ Cruiser.
Why - because the majority of people who are Wrangler crazy are under age 40, all of whom weren't even in grammar school when the last Bronco was sold. And, I don't think the OJ car chase will help them.
Besides that, unlike the Wrangler, it doesn't look much different than most any other 4dr suv with some cheap plastic fender flares on it.

Pretty cool. Will be on my list in a few years when used ones hit the market. Although jeep announced the other day that they will be putting v8 in jeeps.

it looks like an ugly love child after a drunken one night stand between a wrangler and an FJ cruiser. it could have been so much better

My nephew, who is 28, has been salivating over one of these for quite a while. We’ll see if he actually pulls the trigger.

Except that I don't believe the doors and roof can come off of the (discontinued 6 years ago) FJ? As far as I can tell, the Bronco's only current competition is the Jeep Wrangler.

I actually like it more than I thought I would.

My Bronco days are over. I'll stick with the Mustang GT and pull the boat with the Expedition.

Will fail just like the FJ. I’d love to see what would happen if a car company came out with a modern version/replica of an older car.

id rebuy my 1964.5 mustang in a second if one were available.

guitar companies do this and they sell the crap out of them.

2021 Ford Bronco Sport: Prices start at $28,155

If an Escape is too mundane, a bit more money can put you into the much cooler-looking off-road-oriented Bronco Sport.

If it looks as good in person, I think they're well positioned to steal a LOT of wrangler market share.

The bar is low. If it drives better on-road and has a better infotainment package, both of which would be almost impossible to NOT have, then people will be lining up to give Ford their money. Does 80 on the highway without trying to kill you? I might even buy one.

The FJ was a weird vehicle no matter how you looked at it. I know they had a cult following but IMO that truck didn't have a lot going for it other than being unique.

Oh and Jeep definitely didn't say they were putting a V8 in the wrangler. They teased a "concept" of one. The Jeep community has been begging for that for 10+ years and there have been a half dozen "concepts" released in that time. Now maybe this actually gets them to do it? Dunno!

I looked this morning. They are following the F150 pricing model. $26K all the way up to $60K.

way way different than an FJ Cruiser.

This is the first true competitor to the Wrangler. and it is better in just about every way at least on paper. They will sell a lot of them and really cut into Wrangler sales. The Bronco is what the wrangler should be.
