Same reason absolutely every single thing in any given sport happens: it's the agreed-upon standard based on the evolution of the game.

I've never understood why some people need this explained to them. Are they also confused about why one team doesn't just add a few players on the field for a playing advantage? There's nothing about it in the US Constitution. No fundamental rights would be violated.

The internal policies of the league determine the arbitrary standards of behaviour. If you don't like them, don't participate.

So, the Star-Spangled Banner is the white National Anthem? Hmm, never knew.

Seems reasonable to me.

If one were to kneel during this one, that will be fine too, I'm sure.

Yup....lol Wouldn't want to hurt the losing team feelings in anyway.

Isn't the black national anthem "Dixie"? Just kiddin' I could care less about the NFL anymore. Since they have made color a national issue, lets look at the facts. A bunch of rich black guys, with black privilege. 70% of the NFL in 2020 is black. How is that considered a diverse workplace. How many asians in the NFL or native americans, or women? Most NFL players get drafted out of college. How did they get admitted and maintain academic standards? By special privilege. They get special meals, special dorms, special classes, tutors, coaches, mentors, trainers, travel arrangements, etc. Now I am not going to say that college footbal players are not exploited, but the certainly have no reason to go around claiming others have been more privileged than they have. Perhaps the only profession with less racial diversity is the NBA at 80% black. Apparently black lives matter more if you are an athlete? I thought this was about equality? Looks like now they want superiority more than equality.
