My sister had it and almost died. She was in ICU on life support for over a week. We were planning her funeral. She has turned around and can almost walk on her own now, but has permanent lung damage.

My dad also had it... He checks off every high-risk category on the books. He was hospitalized for 2 days and walked out and went home. He still has some lung issues, but they are pretty mild.

You’re not gonna believe this but my cousin’s girlfriend’s Uncle died from it, his wife survived fairly easily, both late 80’s. Neighbor at the road died, late 70,s, her brother and his wife that live next door to her had It and are both fine now. I have a friend that had a medium to severe case he’s recovered. A family that are acquaintances of mine 30’s to 60’s the entire family has had it, 4 households none severe.

Had an elderly uncle in the hospital for other issues contract it and passed away. His younger brother (different uncle) visited him, he in turn contracted it and passed away about a month later. My cousin (second uncle's daughter) contracted it and was dead within 4 weeks. 2nd cousin on that side of the family also came down with symptoms, gone before the two week mark.
Been a hell of a time for my family. Was only allowed one funeral for first uncle. All the others did not. Family will plan a memorial service at a later time when appropriate

Im sorry for your loss! Where I live i havent heard of anyone i know contracting coronavirus. (Florida!) Its sad that we have to question everything on the news. Ive been feeling like 2020 has been the worst year of manipulation. I believe a random stranger on a boating forum more than news outlets. Your response was a tough one to swallow. Best of wishes for your family and friends

Wife has friend and husband who are just getting over it. Both between 75 and 80. woman recovered in 5 days. Man just out of ICU. Feeble. Needing home nursing. Barely making it.

Neighbor girl, college sophomore, got it and shared it with sister. Each well in three days. In room for two weeks.

Point of all this is you have no idea how your immune system will respond. If in time, you'll be fine or experience no symptoms. If hypo or hyper response your won't fare well. It's a crap shoot.

50 yr old acquantance of ours got it early on, spent 45 days in ICU, didn't look like he was gonna make it but pulled through. Left with lasting damage.

Aunt and Uncle have it now, one pulled through pretty quick in 5 days getting better. Uncle is weak with O2 sats between 92-95 still at home but improving. He will die at home before ever going to the hospital for anything.

Wife and I are 71 and live in one of the demographically oldest counties in SWFL. We've had 876 cases and 78 deaths. We don't personally know anyone who's caught it, but our circle is very small.

Neighbor across the street had it and died. 69 year old otherwise healthy male - also wealthy and could afford the best care. His wife nursed him for a week before he went to the hospital and she didn't catch it.

My nephew (24) and his girlfriend (22) both had it. They were both feeling sick (Fever, soreness and general crappy feeling for 2 days) so they got tested and came up positive. After the 2 days they felt perfectly fine but both lost their sense of smell and taste. They are both now getting it back. Both re-tested and now negative. They had to re-test in order to be allowed back to work.

Get this, his roommate never felt any symptoms but decided to get tested because my nephew tested positive and he also works in the service industry so he felt it was the right thing to do. Yup, he tested positive and continued on without a single symptom For 2 weeks. He also re-tested and now negative.

Mom and 2 nephews have it. Mom(58) had a fever and a couple days of being sick.. The nephews(9 and 14) shrugged it off in a couple hours.

Mom (75), niece (26), and brother-in-law (69) had it. The older ones ended up hospitalized because they couldn’t breathe. My niece had flu symptoms and felt crappy for a week.

All survived and recovered completely. This shamdemic isn’t any different then any other sickness that goes around.

Guy who used to work for me had it a few weeks ago, along with his wife, mother-in-law and 3 developmentally disabled children. Contrary to expectations the mother-in-law had the mildest case. Wife and children were very sick He had it by far the worst. Healthy 45 year-old. Former athlete with scholarship offers for D-1 football. He said it was absolutely terrible. Hurt like hell just to try to breath for several days. Very, very close to hospitalization. He was very shaken up afterwards.

I had it. First 2 days I had very slight fever and mild body aches. That went away but I lost all taste buds for 5 days. Took another week for my taste to come fully back. First thing I did when I suspected I was starting with it was taking Tylenol and vitamin C. It was very mild for me.
