Default Wireless HDMI for Xbox

My son wants me to hook up an Xbox to a TV mounted over a fireplace.
I was wondering if a wireless HDMI about 15 feet from the TV would work, or would there a lag effect in the picture.
Anybody got any recommendations?

Thanks

Before Windows 10 and its media cast feature on newer smart TVs...we used an Iogear wireless HDMI for our big screen TV for some presentations.

As for smoothness for gaming, they can vary. Shorter range....and in an uncongested area as far as competing wireless signals go, it's almost as good as a cable. But for some people, depending on wireless around the area...I have read it can cause a noticeable drop in framerate for some.

I have used numerous units in a business environment mainly for presentations. They worked well 7/10 times. It had issues connecting and the boxes had to be rebooted constantly.

This is what I was thinking, that he'd have to reboot and that for gaming there might be a lag.

He actually has a nice setup at the moment, but he's 14 and he wants change. I have another living room upstairs, so I told him that I'd hook up that TV. He's holding out for a TV in his room, but that doesn't work for me.
