I used to play guitar; now I just ask you what quiet time?

Methinks a cutback in the kids' activities is in order, lest me turns into Manson .

My quiet time is spent in my shop, usually "reflecting" or planning. Reflecting on things that I have done, could have done differently or better, and planning. Planning on how to get things done with limited time. Of course if it's after 5, I lubricate the process with Dr. Daniel's magic miracle oil............

Hang a Rod on the front of the truck. Drive out on the Beach at Oregon Inlet. Recline the seat and take a snooze!! Something about the Sound of the Ocean and the Smell of Salt Air....

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL!

I have many hobbies with little time.

I have always built and flown radio controlled aircraft.

Fishing(although not always quiet)

Have been into bodybuilding since I was 13(I have sooo much pain now though)

just being on my boat.

I'm not a guy to sit around and watch TV.

At 73 my final resting time may be not too far in the future.

Fishing Tennessee lakes, wife and I fish a lot of different ways. My favorite is with the bow tied to a tree on the bank and a stern anchor off the transom in the shade of overhanging trees. Boy is that peaceful, so calm and quiet, watching the blue cranes catching fish, our cane poles hanging over the bow baited with worms for Bluegill, some of which are used to bait the two large rod and reels (with clickers set) in rod holders off the stern for Catfish. Me, maybe chomping on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, coffee cup in hand.

All winter I think about that scenario and find it very relaxing.

I find it very relaxing to be in my boat barn with one of our cats lying on the work bench and the neighbor‘s friendly dog laying in the doorway watching me work, them watching, me working, at a very relaxing pace with “sit down and contemplate“ times every once in a while. I don’t need drugs to create a euphoric state of relaxation.

For excitement try the stock market. Nothing else will keep you as tense and excited to the tip of your toes.

With a 5 year old there's not much quiet time. But when the weather is right it's being on the boat or driving like a maniac in my 1968 Austin Healey, both of which my son loves being involved with. Nothing like a little kid not afraid to get greasy under the hood of a car while he is learning about tools and engines! Also an avid reader.

Owning a HVAC industrial & commercial business leaves me w/ no time, along w/ raising my 8yr old boy and his 5yr old younger brother TOTALY SOLO. 24/7

Quiet time is around 9o pm till I pass out.

Fishing is my vice and it's never quiet. Reels singing and blood everywhere.

Never complain just keep on.............. keeping on.

Peace and quiet time I'll catch up on when I'm 6' under.
