2 stroke 4 stroke any stroke more.
All yer bitching is beginning to bore.
Number of parts, noise and the smoke,
Give it a break, just post a good joke.
Iíve found the solution to end all the rants,
When you see this outboard donít poop your pants.

Hmmmm.....

An air compressor could be cheaper than a new powerhead in some cases.. Hell this is a good idea! Mount the compressor in the floor, some more batteries and a good inverter and your ready to rock! Throttle? Ball valve! :)

Must be a bigger hydrolic pump than I have on my log splitter.

I wonder if he's using Amsoil in the Hydrolic Drive Motor. PS. There still has to be an engine somewhere on the boat.

Pretty good idea for a work barge that has a large Diesel generator to power various tools and other hydraulic powered equipment. I bet the outboard is nice and quiet now. Probably not very fast though.

My Hyd. saw at work runs at 10,000 rpm's at 2500 psi on my bucket trucks but doesn't have much torque.

There is also a Hyd. driven / harley powered coustom bike and it hauls azz.

I'm holding out for hydrogen power.

Boy, I bet thats a bike that REALLY leaks oil! That's a really interesting adaption on that outboard..indirect power is common in lotsa large applications. Locomotives, naval vessels all use indirect power systems.

Chris is right and Fred, its been done. I can show you a dock barge running around Marco with a Hydraulic motor bolted on where the powerhead used to go. The real plus is that he welded the clutch dog onto the shaft becaue the now the shaft reverses.

Merry Christmas Fred, well go fishing some day.. :Q
