Default photobucket help

I opened an account. It showed upload. I hit browse and the pics I wanted to upload came up and I selected one and hit upload. Waited 10 minutes and never uploaded. Any help?

The image you're uploading may be too big. Try it again.

I thought that's why I had to use photobucket to resize?

too big - two ways to resize:

Put a picture on your desktop and right click and open it with MS Paint. Go to image>strech/skew and put in a small percentqge like 25%. Save it...Once you get the picture on the your desktop, go over to a free photo service like www.photobucket.com.

or

take all your digtal pics in the largest size you can - then this program will actually change your windows menu when you right click a picture. click here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

look down the right side for "RESIZER" - - download and run it...it will load and disappear - you are done. Now find the pic you want to resize in a folder and right click on it - added to the windows menu you will see "resize pic" - go from there it will put a smaller copy of the pic in the same folder at the bottom.

click on uploading options to see if that helps. You can change your resolution that way.

Glen, resized to 25% and still will not upload. Should I go lower. I'm on cable Dsl so speed is not an issue.

Try saving them to My Pictures first, then try browsing and uploading. That's how I do it and it works every time.

They are in MyPics. I picked on picture and saved to desktop. Left clicked edit and put in ms paint. changed size to 25% and saved back to desktop. Browsed on photobucket and went to desktop and selected file keys 023. Would not upload. Could it be the name of the file?

How do you save them to a jpeg?
Open again with MS paint and hit "save as" - choose JPG as "save as type" under file name

On a Mac it’s easy.

Just open the photo, then go to “File” choose “Save As”, choose “JPG“, hit “OK”. that’s it, now go to PhotoBucket and the upload will work.
