A Basin is calling.

I do love boating but there is something about clamping boards on your feet and screaming down a mountain on the snow.
This picture was taken at Arapaho Basin. Mid screen is Keystone with Breckenridge in the back. Just about my favorite order. Keystone for the night skiing.
Now I just need Reel Boobs to put in a fix for a couple feet of powder the week after Christmas. Come on Boobs. I know you can do it.
I pulled out the boots and boards the other night and really started to get excited.
If you’re at any of the three slopes above and see an old fart with a green Mountain Dew Parka, that’s me. Catch up and say hi.

Awesome pic, I love Breck, also really liked Winter Park for some reason, just had a good time there I guess. Well we don't have those conditions here on the east coast but I'm heading out to PA to go boarding tomorrow. Then on Sun it's the last trip for the boat and then I pull her for the year. Thanks for that picture, increases my drive to take time off from work this year and go west. ;cool;

You can have Keystone and Breck. For you own safety, don't ski there on weekends. Already 1 death at Keystone this season. Too many Front Rangers(folks from DEN)

I leave for Vail on Wednesday for 2 weeks. Can't wait !

palavichini I believe. The stuff in the back of the pic is accessable by gate. Lifts are planed as well.

Great skiing. Love the beach.

What are you skiing on?

Yup manmade "snow" but heck it's better than sittin at home doin nothing. Pulled the boat and other than some cleaning and putting the cover on, my boating season is over till around mid march. Now before you guys from FL say our season doesn't end and what not, I know but I like the change in season, and boarding manmade snow doesn't bother me, I can still have a ton of fun, besides the halfpipe is manmade no matter how much natural snow we get here.

I'm afraid the problem isn't front rangers, it's tourists from back east. Your 'front rangers' have been skiing all their life. Having seen both sides of the equation (living in CO and in the South), Coloradians hate seeing a TX license plate as much as someone in the south who sees, say, a NY plate.

Re: A Basin is calling.

OK, just a few more.

The East Lift.

The mountains are part of the Continental Divide. The lift elevation is 12,700 feet, I think. Great ride down from there.

The West Lift.

Palavichini is correct. Ding ding. We have a winner. Skibum….
Named for similar terrain in the Alps. I found out later there was one blue run down. The rest were black and more diamonds than a jewelry store. Talk about pucker time.

Yep, I had to stick one of me in here.

The neck brace was from cervical spine surgery 8 months prior. It also works well to keep your neck warm. The parka I won at the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge a few days earlier.
Skibum,
I have 177 Rossi Freeride X. I think they are in the Bandit series. Really good All Mountain ski that works for me.

I'm not sure how long ago you lived there but the crowds are much, much worse since Vail Resorts(owners of Breck and Key.) flooded the market with season passes for $329 !

The best resorts in Summit Cty, A-Basin and Copper. I keep teaching at Vail and Beaver Creek cauz the tips are better.

Yah I guess the 177 Rossi skis would work for you.....crip my hotdog skis are 210's and I'm only 5'11".

Either way I wish I was there with you......enjoy yourself! And bring back lots of pics.
