Default Bucket List Bike

I've had probably 50 bikes since I started riding at 14. Finally got one that's been on my bucket list for years. And I love it. Yamaha FJR1300.

I had a 350 triple.....was at a bar in Georgetown one night. A guy let me take his 750 for a ride. I got to the first light and came back. That thing was wicked fast.

I had a friend that had 2 500ís, one was modified. I rode it once, it was scary fast. I remember I went pretty hard thru first 3 gears, that was enough.

one of the fastest stock bikes ever built. I remember in Ď69, these things were deadly. Crazy fast off of the line. Gearing was modified a few years later. A 2 wheeled legend.

Nice ride man and congrats! Youíll have fun with her. My step dad does a lot of long distance rides aswell as the IronButt rallyís. Tons of FJs and very competitive to the BMWs. When I worked at a big dealership we serviced a few FJs. Great platform and very reliable. If itís got some milage on it run Motul 300v. Use to run it in every from my Mx bikes all the way to my factory GSXR-1000 superbike race rig. Itís good stuff

How is that FJR on real twisty roads? I know it's a good size bike's but does it feel somewhat nimble despite it's size?

I have one of my bucket list bikes BMW 1200GSA (Always could use the newer model 1250??) Who new that Nav, heated grips, cruise control, electronics suspension, ABS, hill start assist, dual channel Bluetooth into the helmet was necessary! Listening to Spotify with phone on mute, enjoying the ride is awesome.

For some reason I want the K1600GT. Don't need two bikes, wife doesn't ride or want to come with me.. Did a fly and drive for the GSA, got on a place with my helmet, riding gear and a few pairs of underwear/socks. It was an awesome 4 day ride home from Salt Lake to Seattle. It was hotter than hell (It didn't go below 90 till I got to Seattle. I saw 112 degrees in Eastern Oregon.

I guess if I ever got back into it I'd have to look hard at BMW. I don't really know the models but it would be their top model for road trips (my favorite type of riding).

Mid 80"s Yamaha RZ500 2 stroke with pipes. I would show the Harley crowd what a LOUD bike is all about.

The smell of bean oil!

It's beautifully balanced and has all the power you need coming out of a turn. There's all kinds of videos of guys crushing the Dragon on these.
