Which trails? It's a big state. Most (all?) in north and central Florida are reopened.

I’ve rode Markham 4 times since it reopened.

Feels good to be back.

Yup! Some great additions and trail work was done in the interim.

You know not what you speak of.lol. Santos is great near Ocala. You got nice trails near the Withlacoochee State Trail. Then you have Spruce Creek in Volusia County and Little Big Econ near Oviedo. You got Paisely Woods in the Ocala National Forest . Hana Park in Jacksonville is nice, Tom Brown Park in Tally is nice. I have biked on some really nice trails along the Suwannee River too plus some trails in Gainesville. Florida has some very nice terrain once you get north of Orlando. I live in the Smoky Mountains now but I enjoy riding my bike in the woods of my native state and most are not built on landfills. Lol.

technically no, but we do have some pretty good hills! most of these trails are old quarries. some of them are very serious intensity as well. dont come down thinking it will be a cake walk!

LOL. Roadies that I know tell me that for climbing they have to use bridges and highway ramps. We have great climbs here but yet they even pale to what I've ridden out west.

When are you thinking about coming up? Fire Mountain in Cherokee is closed still and many of the trails in Pisgah are still closed too. Tsali is open and the trails at WCU are open. I am not certain if Dupont is open,I doubt it because our state parks are still closed. Heck, our restaurants are closed for dine in seating still.

The term mountain bike is not necessarily about mountains. It's like a type of bike, like a center console, or dual console or express are types of boats. What Florida lacks in elevation it makes up for in geology, aka sand , limestone and such.. Florida has some decent trails and fun can be had as well as a workout.

Man, since my son moved out of Boone, NC I've missed my trips to the NC mountains....
He basically lived on his bike all throughout NW North Carolina. What a beautiful part of the country.

You have some great riding just to your north. My wife and I have been riding at a bunch of the ski resorts in VT and NH.
