I read the article and am disgusted, but its just the system i guess. The coast guard, according to the article needs to go with Northrop gunman because of their lobby muscle. Without the lobbying muscle behind the effort, congress won't approve the necessary funds for the upgrades. At the same time Northrop is screwing them by no-bid contracts for its own contractors and shoddy work.
