Default Hair clipper recommendation

My barber here in salt springs recommended Wahl senior model. That, in cordless, is around $145 plus blades. More then I want to spend.

Not wild about idea of giving myself a haircut but until they come out with a vaccine , I'm leery of coming that close to someone.

Have used a Wahl for 20 years...it’s easy, cheap and saves a lot of time. Wouldn’t go back, but I don’t mind a “burr” haircut.

It has been a long time since I was shopping for clippers (about 30 years I would say) because after trying a number of cordless models which were a waste of money I got a set of Wahl clippers and they have served me since then. I use them all the time for my head and my beard. Keep the blades lubed and they will last a lifetime. Can't remember what I spent for them of course.

I use Wahl Designer. Bought on a recommendation at Sally’s. I’ve had it for about 5 years and the original blades are still on it. I do a no guard buzz every 2 weeks or so.

Mrs gave me a wahl hair cut today. It works great. Our clippers are 10 yrs old.
the barber shops grossed me out. Rather have Mrs do it.

Andis Master ML. They will last you a lifetime. Well, mine are going on 25+ years, at least. All stainless steel construction and a lot of professional barbers use them.

Adjustable cutting depth, so you can go close or long without switching out bullshit plastic "guides".

Go to a "big box" pharmacy and get a Wahl kit. I picked one up a few weeks ago for $25 and it came with the clippers, about 15 guards, scissors, oil and directions.

I don't think i'll ever pay for a haircut again.

Oster Fast Feed.

If you want even cleaner cutting and definitely if you want to zero-gap the clippers, swap in a ceramic blade.

I have been using the basic dog clipper kit from Wahl for my face and the dogs for the last 10+ years.

I needed a face razor and the dogs needed a clipper. Win win. 20.00 and they are Made in the USA.

I don't cut my head hair ever so I don't know how they are for that, but for the dogs and my face they are awesome for 20.00 amd USA made.

https://www.target.com/p/wahl-basic-...t/-/A-14030408

noticed the price went up 6.00 since I bought mine. Still a good deal.

I've had one of these for 2 years now.
Amazon Amazon

Really like it. Comes with both beard and hair clippers and a bunch of guards. Use it in my head, beard and jiggly bits and have no issues.

This is what I went with after my 15 year old Panasonic gave up the ghost and no new Panasonics have different length attachments. Very pleased so far. I clip my beard in the Winter and sometimes run a goatee that needs trimming. I have given myself two haircuts so far. Family asked what salon is still open and why I went there. haha

I have a corded Wahl unit that the wife uses to give me #1 buzz cuts. It was in the $35 range from what I remember. Works great. Been doing it at home for years once I started keeping it this short year round.
