Guy I rent space from just ordered 7000 KN95 mask air shipped from China. He is thinking he will sell them for a crazy amount. Left me with a few samples. I grabbed one of my N95 mask to compare. Either the KN95 is completely counterfeit or the certification process is not the same. They are the thickness of a piece of 100lb cardboard at best.

Knowing the Chinese it’s probably a asbestos wrapped Melamine filter.

Not sure if I’d trust the Wish.Com version of a N95 mask.

I would return to sender. For all we know these masks are laced with the virus.

So if I have this straight. The virus originated in China. China has lied, hidden facts, and misled about the when, why, severity, and where of the virus; and we are now to accept millions of masks (that suddenly just appear) from China? No thank you, risk does not outweigh reward, return to sender.

Yea if only 3M would stop selling masks to overseas buyers and actually sell to US first responders maybe we wouldnt need to import counterfeit masks from China.

In other news, 3M is shipping N95 masks made in the USA out of the country.

3M is currently making more than a million masks per day in the USA......there should not be any shortage for healthcare workers.

Apparently other countries are willing to pay more.

He paid $3/each and trying to sell them for $6. I personally think it would have been more fun to just burn $20k in a huge bonfire $100 at a time but what do I know.

The KN95 is nothing similar to a N95, it doesn't even resemble it. The KN95 masks available on Amazon for $2.75 each including shipping. They were intentionally named by the chinese manufacturer so that a web search for N95, would include them in returned results.

How many millions of mask, ventilators and gear did US companies ship out in January, February and March when we are being told this virus thing was fake news?

A press release dated February 7, 2020, from the US State Department, informs us that the Blank administration “facilitated” the shipment of 17.8 tons of masks, ventilators, gowns, and other supplies to China.

The CDC announced the first travel-related Covid-19 case in the United States on January 21, 2020. On January 30, 2020, the CDC announced the first person-to-person transmission in the United States. Epidemiologists, by the score, were warning us. Why did the Blank administration deem it necessary to get these supplies to China, a nation who made half of the surgical masks before Covid-19? China also manufacturers ventilators for export. Why were they sent ventilators from the United States.

We need to have a discussion around where these supplies came from, the process used to make the decision, and the planning that went into shipping these out versus planning for the epidemic in the United States.
