Default Tomorrow is day 30.....

Not of self quarantine.
Not of working on my boat.
Not of running a 5K each day.

But of not having had a drop of alcohol.
I gave it up the Monday before Lent and to make sure that I could do it. I'd also been drinking more than I should. Breaking the social aspect was the hardest part. i.e. going out and having a few beers with friends and such. I know that I'm celebrating a day early but making it through tomorrow is not even in question.

Much better than my success and many KUDOS to you! I quite 20+ years ago and it was a struggle.

The subconscious is an odd thing. Even though I quit smoking decades ago, I'd still have dreams where I had been smoking and had half a pack in my hand meaning that I had started again. I'd wake up in relief that it was just a dream. Nightmarish. When I decided to quit drinking for Lent and such, I started having dreams about having drank half a can of beer or wine or whatever. The brain does odd things.

Using Lent as a reset has been a good thing and I'll keep it going for a while longer although we'll probably open one of my specialty wines for Easter. Sometimes you have to step back to get an idea of what it means to moderate.

Much respect! My best friend quit years ago not because he drank too much, it was just WHEN he drank. Might only be 2 beers a day, but when its after picking up the kids from daycare, it's a problem for you
Congrats

The question is "Do you miss it?"

Socializing can be done with a Pepsi or Coke also.

My wife and I are coming up on 4 months. We do make 'mocktails', things like tonic & lime, soda and cranberry. Wife has been drinking Kombucha lately.

Helps with the habit of 'making a drink', something to have in the evening.

It took me years to get to my last drink. It was what I did best.....

Congrats, and maybe after a while that Easter drink might just be non alcoholic....
