Default Cars available with a manual transmission, the official list.

I seem to remember a big thread about manual transmission cars...now we have an official list.

I feel like we will start seeing manual transmissions back on the rise...I mean if Fila dad shoes, dad hats and high wasted jeans are in....why the *EFF* not lol

It's funny you mention this. I was in a parking lot yesterday and walked by a brand new looking Toyota Corolla, and it was a manual. Caught me by surprise. Only reason it actually caught my eye is because it looked identical to my daughter's Corolla, but her's is an automatic.

Do a search of all cars on Autotrader and only select manual transmission. I saw some Mustangs, a Tacoma, a lot of Volkswagons and some Subarus.

I've noticed that the number of cars available with a manual has been in decline in almost direct proportion to the number of real men in existence.

Sports cars and muscle cars go with manual transmissions. Some econo cars need them to get out of their own way. I have a 6 speed now, not sure what Iíd get in a newer, even faster car.
You can only (or want to) shift so fast. I prefer shifting into the right gear over just mashing the gas pedal.

There are no millennial teenagers. The youngest millennials are beyond drinking age at this point.

Iím a manual transmission person (I have owned 8 cars/non trucks that I can count and only 2 were auto that I converted to manual). At some point I see me getting a car again along side the truck. I just canít see an automatic. I canít stand the vehicle choosing my gears, I always feel it is in the wrong gear!

Okay, I have to chime in on this. Iím a manual guy as well, my daily driver is manual, etc.

But, I will say that my wifeís daily, which has a proper dual clutch automatic with sport mode, is ALWAYS in the right gear. I still miss the manual shifting (third pedal) of it, but the days of feeling like automatics are always in the wrong gear are gone with the latest dual clutch auto transmissions.

Edit: Heck, I say ďlatestĒ but her DCT is 11 years old now, come to think of it.

You track and evaluate the number of "real men"?
...not that there's anything wrong with that...
