Default Valentines day Ideas ?

So my wife and I have a 1 month old and 21 month old. She is bugging me to do something for Valentines day. I know she wont want to go to far. Any ideas for presents? She wants a new Goyard purse but we just had another kid and it isnt int he cards right now. Thinking dinner some where but feel that is to cliche. Maybe get her something as well. For whatever reason I am just drawing blanks right now. Maybe its the lack of sleep. Any Ideas?

Offer a vasectomy?

My suggestion would be a spa day just for her then catch a movie and dinner afterwards. Might be tough if she is nursing

Make sure you read the WHOLE greeting card if you buy one. I few years ago I gave my wife a Valentine's Day card. I was at the store and there were 5 women right in front of the cards.....with their carts so I couldn't even get to the cards. I got tired of waiting so I grabbed a card and read a couple of the lines.....good enough I thought. I give the card to my wife and she gets to the end and has a big smile on her face. I asked her what is so funny? She asked if I read the card, of course I did I say. You sure you didn't just grab the first card you saw? Of course I didn't, I picked out the card just for you sweetie. She hands the card to me and tells me to read the last line. I read the card.....dohhhh. The last line said "To a wonderful husband!" Dang it, got caught!

There are a couple of sites on the internet that you can upload a picture and they put it on a flat gold pendant. I did this a couple of years ago I uploaded both kids pics and had their names put on the back. Wasn't very expensive but my wife loved it. If you can get the oldest one holding the youngest get a good pic of just their faces worked out great.

Years ago on their wedding anniversary my dad gave my mom a custom built rod for tuna fishing, with her name on it. She said thank you and put it in her closet and the next day he wanted to use it she would not let him. He ended up going to the jewelry store and buying her a couple of charms for her bracelet, both of them a fish. You could go that way. I wouldn't but you could.

for him or his wife? In today’s age you should never assume somebody’s pronoun.

A card from the dollar store and a $100 gift certificate from Victoria's Secret. Easy-peazy, always appreciated.

In his defense the OP did say he has a 1 month old. That means the front nine is still closed for ground under repair.

I would say spa treatment. I hate going out on Valentines Day. It's almost as amateur hour as New Years Eve.

Olive Garden...

Sit in the parking lot with a 6 pack or bottle of wine, and watch the show. Nothing but rednecks wearing their good jeans and their best Tommy Hilfiger shirt, taking their old lady out for a fancy meal. Old lady likely weighs 250+.

Seems pretty obvious; she told you what she wanted.

I had to google Goyad Purse. Here is my summary of the correct course of action.

Edit to add....unless you adjusted your withholding ahead of the birth of the latest kid...you have $2K coming your way. Not that I would spend it on a damn purse.

That would not go over well at my house.
