Default flying into Raleigh, NC. things to do?

I am flying into Raleigh in a few days to pick up my new Ram truck after they get the bed liner sprayed in

I will be in the area just east of downtown and I am looking for things to do early in the evening before I pick up my new truck later that night

thanks!

If you want to grab dinner let me know. What dealer did you buy from?

Get back in your plane and go somewhere where there's stuff to do.

Hit Hillsborough St. You can find some good food or get thrown in jail. Your choice.

Stay out of just east of downtown would be my suggestion. If you are mobile plenty of options.
Plenty of good eateries downtown as well.

Northeast Mini City area where all the car dealers are isn't exactly Beverly Hills either.

Lol, this thread is fantastic. If you're ever in the area Lorne, cfarmd, and I will take you to some good spots. Hillsborough street is meh. Sammy's is where it's at...mediocre wings and poor service by hot 18-21 yr. old waitresses.

Lorne - I passed Gringo a Gogo tonight and thought of you, saw the apartments behind it where your truck met it's demise (and I'm assuming what this thread is a parody of).

Had a sammich at Berkely and then to whiskey kitchen for a buddies going away party.

Now I'm appropriately shmammered.

Ubers to Wendell are a real bitch.

Great day all. </Vinnie>

There’s a reason people who live in Raleigh are always saying “2 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the mountains.” It’s NC’s taint.

With the biggest lure possible.

Hey, OP, I'm familiar with that 'hood. Meet me at Look-Out and I'll show you around. We can head over towards St. Aug.'s and see if there's any hot chicks hanging out.

Yeah I did the Uber to Wendell, it sucks. Now we just walk everywhere. We’re about to head out to Weaver Street Market.

No, out us1 right after where 401 splits off, or used to. As a kid I remember when it was nothing but a farmers fields, old Mr. Brown used to come out and watch us fly our model airplanes. Only two things out there were a retirement home and Aerotron, my dad's company.

Angus Barn is right next to the airport. You will likely fly over it landing.
