Default New Netflix Must Sees

Ok I'm always looking for something new and good on Netflix. I just watched the second season of "YOU". This is a great series if you haven't seen it and I just watched the 3 part Dracula mini series, which put a new spin on an old tale.

So what else ya got?

Just finished YOU last night as well, thought it was really good.

I'm also searching for the next series, though I'm still trying to get through the Sopranos.

Shameless is excellent if you haven't seen it yet.

Yeah I've seen all of Shameless and Sopranos. Maybe I just need to get out of the house more.

A few good Prime originals if you have Prime.

The Two Popes was way more entertaining than I expected. The dialogue is consistently funny and sharp between the two Popes. It really seemed like a theater-worthy movie.

I can’t remember if it was Netflix or Prime, but look up “One Child Nation”. It is a real eye opener and worth watching. I think it was Prime now that I think if it.

It didn’t start clicking for me until the 3rd episode. I haven’t read any of the books or played any of the games, so I had no idea what to expect. Even so, it’s still so-so for me but it does get better. I’m on episode 5.

Episodes 1 and 2 of Dracula are AMAZING. They are as close to the novel in al important factors since Nosferatu. Episode 3 takes a hard left turn which some may love, I hated it. However, still an excellent watch, made by the guys who did Sherlock and Dr. Who.

Sweet, was looking for something after football.
edit - and I think you may have mentioned HP Lovecraft in the Stephen King thread which had me watch a very cool doc on YouTube. That guy was bizarre. Interesting though.

Lovecraft is the basis for 50% of modern horror. Very bizarre man. His brain was on another level.

Longmire is an old series that is good “modern western” sheriff solving murders the old fashioned way. Seasons 1 is a little slow season 3-4 gets more interesting. 7 seasons total. Supposedly appealed to an older demographic.

watched the first season of “spinning out” with the wife last night. Was better than I thought it would be. I would call it more of a “chick flick” no violence but some sex scenes, it’s about figure skaters.

Bosh is good more modern lapd detective murder mystery.

Lost in Space is surprisingly not half bad. It's a decent series to watch with kids too. Nothing really violent, no swearing and no hanky panky.
Not a series but Wolf's Call is good submarine movie. Note: It's French but dubbed.
Hurricane Heist isn't bad either. It has the daughter from all the Taken movies in it. Good to see her in something else other than having to be rescued, although some of that still happens in this movie but in a bad ass chick way.

If you want to venture out, EPIX channel is 50% off right now for the next 3 months. I bought it specifically for Deep State (pretty good) and Berlin Station (pretty good too). 6 seasons of spy series for 3 bucks.

Next month, I think I will finally buy CBS All Access. They have new Star Trek series coming out centered around Captain Jean Luc Picard. I can finally finish Start Trek Discovery too. Started it when we were on vacation last year while in Cancun. Outside of US, it was available on Netflix.

Longmire is NOT a genre i am usually interested in, but for some reason, I really liked it. He carries a 1911, and when the SHTF, he doesn't go all tactical - he brings what looks like a Model 94 lever action 30-30.

I first noticed that Netflix content changed based on where you are streaming from when I went to the UK for work. Now if you use a browser like Opera and enable the free built-in VPN that comes with it, you can get yourself an IP address out of Germany for instance, rather than a US based IP. Not sure if that loophole has been plugged.

Not new but still making new seasons, “Peaky Blinders” seems to entertain most people who watch it........

Yeah the doc has John Carpenter and Del Toro talking about how influential he was. But what a crazy mind. I can't believe I'm just hearing about him.
You nailed Dracula so far...thanks for holding any spoilers, and for the reco.

GF and I watched "End of the F@#king World". Bizarre British young adult comedy/drama. She picked it out and I was like "what ever" then I really got into it, too. Two seasons out now.

I'm pretty sure it is on Netflix.
