Very cool.
I wish I had something valuable to warrant such an awesome lock.

Inventions from centuries ago can be so amazing. Just think, over 350 years ago, and all made by hand.

Absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing! I bet whatever valuables were in that room sealed by the lock, are not as valuable today as the lock itself.

If I had that lock the most valuable thing I would have to lock would be the lock.

In the throwaway society we live in today most fine craftsmanship is a lost art.

I'm thinking two whacks with a cheap Harbor Freight 3 pound hammer and your wealth would be mine.

That's child's play. Look what the ancient Greeks did:

Thanks for showing us that. Being in the lock and safe business I really enjoyed it.

I love stuff like this, surprised it never popped up on Pawn Stars.

First place people think to enter a locked box, building, or anything with a door that's locked is to unlock the door. A block house can be broken through with a nail hammer in just a couple minutes or a wood house with a saw.

I think locks are cool but just a small part of what keeps thing safe.
