Your going to have two choices, build it yourself or pay someone to do it. Their is software out there to help you make one yourself https://mobirise.com/website-builder...UaAn8iEALw_wcB

Then you will have to decide if you want to host it or pay a service to host it

Be very careful who is hosting your site, they can make or break it

triplenet another thing to consider, if you are going to make changes to your site on a regular basis many of the designers want to make the changes and charge you for each one, they will not allow you to do so. That is one reason that I do my own. When I want a change it is done immediately, not when they get around to it. Now I know they do not all operate like this.

When you get your list of people to entertain doing your website, make sure you see their portfolios of other websites they've done. Most places will have a portfolio section you can easily find and see. Others...you may have to ask.
Flip through those websites...navigate, see how they work, see how they perform.

Many people just go for the "el cheapo" website people that give the lowest bid. And those websites just turn out to be generic canned wordpress sites that are..well...you get what you pay for.

Now if you need your website to draw in potential customers....the name of the game is marketing and search engine results. Yes it's an ongoing monthly fee..recurring revenue for those people. But..it's the reality of todays business...if you want results, you pay for it. (or...learn to do it yourself...but don't you want to use your time for your business? Not spend trying to learn how to manage keywords and managing search engine results and keeping up with the latest trends?)

As hinted above...if you want to make frequent changes to the site...let them know ahead of time. Most will actually setup a site that is easy for you to update content in with basic tools...I have plenty of clients that do that.

There are several options for CMS (content management systems) that let you make edits to general content on your own. When I do a business website for someone, I almost insist on this, as I do not want to be in the loop on dicking around with all your updates. Most of what I get involved in is highly customized stuff, things where you want live data updates, or POS integration for online ordering (restaurants), etc. A "basic" site starts at $3,000 and can go to upwards of $50K if there is a lot of custom work involved.

The developer also needs to make the content smart enough so search engines put you high. I think that may be more important than aesthetics. Keep it simple.

If it's simple you can do it yourself at wix.com It's pretty close to drag and drop.
