Default Reaching an anchored boat

Hi, I'm new to boating and yacht lifestyle. Just wanted to know if a boat is anchored too far to swim to, how does one get to the boat? If they use a canoe or dinghy, what happens to the smaller vessel once you are onboard the bigger boat? Does someone bring it back to shore or loaded onto the boat?

It’s normally anchored just off the shore to mooring buoy/ball , take a dinghy out, tie it off to mooring ball, then take the boat out, come back tie boat up to mooring ball and take the dinghy back in to shore

Might have to make several trips if you have a lot of gear.

For some of the moorings in the Keys, I've always just used a paddleboard but lots of guys just swim out.

If you're going out to a yacht, you may want to take an uber. Canoeing out to a yacht doesn't go well and you wouldn't want to get a BUI on the way back to shore after a good time. Just like uber-eats, they have a new service, uber-seas. Just tell them how many folks need to be shuttled. Look it up. There's an app for it.

so you're really trying to say, you got drunk last night. Somehow you anchored your boat and wound up on shore. now you're wondering how the hell to get back out to your boat?

LOL

Is this what people do when they get sent away for a while & open a new THT account on their Grandchild's computer in another state while on holiday ?

If so great workaround

If not - my apologies OP & my thought is that if you have to ask this question you've come to the right place for sage advice
